A Prayer for Growth in the Darkness

Heavenly Father,
Many of your plants grow best in the dark, nourished by the unseen workings of your hand. So, too, do we often find ourselves in seasons of darkness, not realizing that these very times are the soil you use to cultivate our growth. We pray that you would reveal to us the knowledge of Christ that can only come in the midst of our trials. May we no longer see these darker days as a dwelling place of fear, but as a place where roots of strength are grown as we come to know Christ's character more deeply. As we come to know more of Him, let our hearts be filled with the everlasting peace of your grace and love.
In Christ's name we pray, Amen.
Pocket Prayer:
Grant us the knowledge of Christ, that in these shadowed seasons of life, we might grow in strength and peace as we are drawn ever closer to Him.
